New Lower Prices

"In tough times, the tough get going." That seems to be the current rally cry for most companies. The best way for us to get our valued customers to continue to save their company money and reduce cost is to lower prices!

In order to save all of our customers money, we have reduced prices on almost half of our products. Many products that are most popular. Browse through our website and you will find many items reduced in price. And not just a couple bucks. Some of our Van Package Systems have been reduced as much as almost $300. To see them, click here.

Nor have we raised the normal price and then show a discount. Those who are our regular customers know that we haven't had a price increase in over two years.

So, it's up to you to "get going" and take advantage of the current sales pricing and help keep our American company and our employees working for a better future. Go with the best...Go American Truck.

How is President Obama doing?

Do you believe President Obama is a real man of honor?

During his long campaign trail Mr. Obama accused John McCain of advocating a smear campaign to discredit Obama as portrayed by the media. Did questioning McCain’s honor discredit his patriotism? Some believe that the attacks on McCain’s character had a severe impact on his election. McCain was being compared to Bush so much that no one gave John McCain a chance to even try to save our nation.

Is President Obama doing any better than McCain would have? What are the problems that you see that Mr. Obama is not addressing? American voters put Obama in the driver’s seat. How can we gripe that he is not acting in our best interest? I am not here to slander Mr. Obama. I am asking your opinion.

What’s next for our country?
Leave your thoughts on how you think America is or is not benefiting from the new Obama presidency. No topic is taboo. Every issue from abortion to the economic downfall is welcome.

Time Is Money

We all know the saying "Time is money", but what is the value of your time?
Most business resources are unlimited. You can have as many customers, jobs, locations, products, vehicles, etc. that you choose to have.
However, there are only fifty two weeks per year, with seven days per week, each with twenty four hours. You need some of that time for eating, sleeping, spending time with family, going on vacation, etc. Time is your most precious and limited resource. So plan carefully how you give your time away.
To get an idea of the value of one hour of your time, add your hourly wage + the average cost of your benefits + the cost of your vehicle, gas, insurance and maintenance + the cost of any specialized tools or equipment. This will give you an average of what your time is worth to you.
So, next time someone says they just need a few minutes of your time, keep in mind what it's going to cost.

Vandalism At An All Time High

We here at American Truck Equipment get calls almost everyday about a customer that had their van or truck boken into and some tools or equipment stolen. This is most commonly known as "smash and grab". Usually the vandal breaks the door glass to gain access to the vehicle, then grabs whatever is easiest to get and runs away.
The best way to prevent these theifs from hitting your truck is to apply Window Security Screens on your cargo van windows. Available at www.goamericantruck.com, these easily installed screens discourage the vandal so he doesn't bother your vehicle.
These screens are made of heavy 16 guage steel that are powder coated black to give your vehicle a great look. Ford van screens install with no drilling, and GM vans use a small sheet metal screw to attach the screen to the window frame.
At about $90.00, it's a lot cheaper than buying a new glass window and replacing a stolen piece of equipment. Not to mention the aggrevation.
